Donations needed for summer garden party

St. Joseph’s Hospice will open up its beautiful hospice gardens for its annual summer Garden Party and Teddy Bears Picnic on Saturday 13th July.

To make this event a great success, and raise lots of money for the hospice, it is asking for people to donate a range of items which will help them to keep their costs down.

The hospice is asking for people to donate teddies for its Teddy Tombola; unopened bottles for the Bottle Tombola (anything from wine to shampoo); Prosecco for the Prosecco Tent; new unwanted gifts; new unopened toys; and gift bags for the Grab a Bag stall.

If you have anything to donate, please drop it off at the hospice in Thornton or at any St. Joseph’s Hospice shop across Merseyside. A full list of our shops and their addresses can be found at www.jospice.org.uk.

Julie McAdam, hospice fundraiser, said: “We’d be really grateful for donations of any of the above items for our garden party. It’s a wonderful family event and, with a little help from our community, it will raise lots of money for the hospice.

“We have a number of spaces available for stall holders at the Garden Party and we’re also looking to partner with local businesses on our summer events so please get in touch if you can help.”
