Jospice Starlight Walk. This year is the 40th anniversary of opening Jospice in Thornton, quite a milestone for our charity.
We would like to invite you to join us on our Starlight Walk this year, maybe to remember a loved one who has been cared for at Jospice. We are hoping to have as many people as possible to join us and aim to raise £40 to celebrate our special year. (Don’t worry if you wish to try and raise more, it would be most welcome)
The walk is 10 km and will start and finish at the Weld Blundell Pub on Formby Bypass. The route will take you to and around Formby and return to the Weld Blundell.
The walk is open to all, and we do encourage families and groups of friends to join us. We ask a registration of £10 per person (you are already 25% of the way to your target) and we will be able to give you lots of ideas on how to raise as much money as possible to support patient care here at Jospice.
The walk will start at 10pm and all the ladies registering will receive a set of bunny ears, and the guy’s large sun glasses. Water and snacks will also be included. We will leave it to you how you dress, maybe retro 1970’s or even your pyjamas! We don’t mind – so long as we make it a night to remember our 40th anniversary.
The route planned is walker friendly so wheel chair users are welcome. Please note under 16’s to be accompanied by an adult, and dogs must be on a lead throughout the evening.
